Join us for the 2020 edition of Global Game Jam at the

Facebook and Oculus Headquarters in Menlo Park, CA.

The Global Game Jam® (GGJ) is the world's largest game jam event (game creation) taking place around the world at physical locations. Think of it as a hackathon focused on game development. It is the growth of an idea that in today’s heavily connected world, we could come together, be creative, share experiences and express ourselves in a multitude of ways using video games. It is all condensed into a 48 hour development cycle. The GGJ encourages people with all kinds of backgrounds to participate and contribute to this global spread of game development and creativity.

WHAT TO EXPECT

SHARING IDEAS

This site doesn't have a competition. Everyone makes games, everyone shows off what they've made at the end, and in the middle we all eat together. We've had the most fun when teams work together and new teammates are welcome, so we're going to keep doing that.

ENTRY

We will require you to have a ticket to attend; you must have a ticket, be 21 or older, and be willing to sign our standard visitor NDA. You must also sign up on the GGJ website.

Please bring ticket confirmation and a valid photo ID for entry.

Please enter Building 18 Lobby for check-in by 4:30pm.

STAYING ONSITE

Onsite guest parking at Building 18 is available starting at 3:00pm.

You may also take ride share services that can drop you off at designated areas marked with drop-off signage.

Bring a sleeping bag, sleeping pad and overnight personal items if you're planning to stay overnight - the floor is hard, but we'll have lounge areas for naps!

Meals, beverages, snacks, coffee and late night treats will be available for the duration of the event.
